Bristol Residential

Yesterday we spent a sunny afternoon at Bristol Zoo.  We had a polar experience and discovered how animals have adapted to cold environments.  We didn't stroke a penguin but did all get to stroke a very soft chinchilla called Rain.

Today we are exploring the science museum have been finding out about the science of the human body with amazing hands on interactive activities.  This morning we trained to be astronauts by testing exercise equipment to see what we could  use to stay fit in space, testing the absorbency of materials for use in our space nappies.  We also controlled mini canadarms to manoeuvre blocks into stacks and experimented with marshmallows at high and low pressure.  Finally we built our building our own space rockets and tested how well they flew!

We have also been on a grand tour of space in the planetarium.  We chose Saturn, Uranus, Venus and Earth to visit.

St Piran's day

Six children from Nessa class attended the St Piran's Day celebrations in Bodmin today.

They had a great time and did Blisland School proud by performing their poem brilliantly! It looks like they really enjoyed their pasties too. Thank you to Mrs Pearce for taking them.
